heineken

People that work for Heineken’s marketing department always had great sense of humor, even this ad from 1985 is brilliant, bringing some nice humor onto out TV screens. Goosey looking Sloane Ranger is getting a lesson in English street credibility school, and her teacher is despairing over her accent, nobody will take her for local like that.

They are fumbling over several simple sentences when an assistant pops in with a six pack of Heineken to freshen them up from all the hard work and than is when the miracle happens, Sloane Ranger starts speaking like she’s been on the streets of London since she was a little girl… And the assistant starts sounding like an stuck up aristocrat.

Heineken sure does weird things to your vocabulary system when taken in good quantities. This only proves how proud Brits are of both their Cockney accent and about their good beer.
