I wonder who the mind behind this Honda’s brilliant ad was, but I’m not sure he’s entirely sane. If Internet is to be believed this commercial costs about 6.2 million $ to create, and they used their money well, no computer graphics, no cheating, everything was done by hand.
The commercial itself uses a simple action and reaction theme, where various car parts interact with each other, but not the way they were meant to, but in totally comic-bookish manner to preform a single action. If you ever played old The Incredible Machine game, you will have a strong sense of deja vu during this commercial, I know it brought back my memories of sleepless nights while I was trying to solve the puzzle.
Well, this puzzle took over six hundred tries to get it done perfectly and months of work were invested to make this nifty ninety seconds long ad, but the outcome is so awesome that it’s obvious all the effort was well invested.
