Facebook recently conducted a research amongst it’s users to see what TV commercials they think are the best ones out there, and seeing how most of the above mentioned website’s members are mostly minors and teens it was no surprise that a game company found it’s place amongst the top rated TV commercials. It’s Nintendo that got crowned with having one of best ads so here’s the link in case anybody is interested.

Let’s see, to be rated this well commercial has to fulfill some standards in several different categories, main ones being - good idea, realization and the ability to appeal to customer. So, let’s take it apart one category at the time. Idea - not too shabby, shows a bunch of school kids being bored out of their minds, sitting orderly in classes and watching a clock make it’s moves slowly, we all had those moments where it seemed time slowed down just to go on our tits.

Realization - some obvious Matrix rip-offs of the kids showing uncanny abilities in their chase to the game store. Last one is the ability to appeal to customer and if there is a master of sucking up to your fans it is Nintendo, having a series of lovable game characters that they reprinted million times squared, and for this commercial they whooped out big guns, Nintendo whorage. All in all I see why it was voted among the top ads.
