A Nicolas Sparks novel is adapted for the big screen in this lovely romantic comedy. It tell the story of a young man, John Tyree who enlists in the army. While on brief leave he meets Savannah, a beautiful and optimistic college girl who is home on spring break. John falls in love at first sight, and they soon embark on a romance that will last a lifetime.

As John is recalled and leaves for a deployment, they only have the letters and the loving correspondence to keep them together, the only thing to keep John going. Watch the movie trailer, then rush out and buy the tickets to see the hardships they have to face and overcome in order for their love to remain true and intact. A lot can happen over the years, as we all know, but as Savanna points out if they write to each other they’ll be with each other all the time, even if they’re not together at all. And that’s what we have to keep in mind, as we watch this heartfelt story unwind.
