7th heaven is an American family drama series created and produced by Brenda Hampton. The storyline follows the Camden family which lives in the fictional town of Glenoak, California as they struggle with every day problems of a numerous Protestant family. The Camdens are the minister father Reverend Eric Camden, who is played by Stephen Collins and his wife Annie who is played by Catherine Hicks and their seven children – in the beginning there were only five of them, but Annie gave birth to twins during the third season.

The children range from babies who are just learning to walk to mature, grown up people who have their own children, and thus their own hands full of problems. Either way, all of their children have the unique possibility to learn through their experience as this numerous family deals with their daily issues. The series depict them and their friends and neighbors as they encounter their daily problems, love affairs, personal issues and other important issues of their daily lives. Each episode addresses a real life problem and we can see the family as it tries to resolve it in their own unique way.
