Bones is an American TV drama that follows its protagonist in a series of crime cases, with a focus on police and forensic procedures. Each of the episodes tries to reveal the mystery behind last remains of people, brought to the forensics by Special Agent Seeley Booth. Dr. Temperance Bones Brennan is the head of the forensic department in the Jeffersonian Institution and she helps special agent Bones Brennan to solve the cases by examining the human remains brought to her.

She offers an objective point of view and her great analytical skills often provide the FBI with a missing link which leads to eventual successful solving of the crime behind the human remains She is a genius with amazing forensic skills and a published author of award winning crime novels. However her less than admirable social skills prevent her from leading the life she would want to, but also provide a great comic relief in the show. The series follow the two main protagonists in their quest to solve intricate FBI cases, but also their complicated private lives, relationships and prospective romantic relationship between Brennan and Booth.
