Charmed is an American TV series which follows the lives of four sisters Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige as they try to lead normal lives beside the fact that they are witches. The four sisters are part of the Warren line of powerful, good witches. The four Hallivel sisters are generally perceived to be normal citizens, but they are known as the Charmed Ones within the magical community, and their prophesized fate is to fight evil beings and forces, such as warlocks and demons and their primary goal is to protect the innocent ones from the forces of darkness.

Each of the sisters is gifted with a unique magical power and they have the ability to grow and improve their skills and effects during the show. An important aspect is that they try to lead normal lives and a great deal of tension and suspense comes from their efforts to keep their supernatural background hidden from the people around them. The series become more intense as they struggle to keep up with the tasks of the outside, real life such as relationships, work and family, all the while fighting the evil forces to protect the innocent.
