Nip/Tuck is an American TV drama series written by Ryan Murphy. The plot is centered around the lives and times of two plastic surgeons and their problems in their professional and private lives. They run a plastic surgery practice and face a whole array of interesting and bizarre characters during their practice there. Dr. Sean McNamara (played by Dylan Walsh) and Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) are among the best at what they do, however plastic surgery is such that it often requires loose moral and low ethics and the two main characters are often forced to turn a blind eye to some of the procedures.

The show is famous for its graphic depiction of plastic surgery and the recovery part which sometimes can be gruesome. This as well as some of the sexual encounters which are very explicit in their nature, has aroused a great deal of controversy over the years. Some of the material may be graphic in detail, but the show is generally accepted as original and very good, and it has many Emmy nominations, as well as wins and the show has won the Golden Globe in 2005 for the best television series in the drama category.
