At the beginning of this movie trailer we can see that Steve Russell (Jim Carrey) is living the American dream. He’s a Texas cop with a beautiful wife Debbie (Leslie Mann), a child and is a stand up representative of Christian values. That is all changed when on one fateful night he gets into a car accident and realizes something about himself. He’s gay. Happy with his new revelation, he wants to embrace everything about his new life style. He wants only the best things in life and in order to get them he conforms to doing whatever needs to be done. And that means becoming a con artist and breaking the law. After being sent to prison, he meets the love of his life- Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor), his cell mate. When his lover is released from prison, his plan of them always being together is shaken. Not the one to give up so easily, especially when true love is involved, Russell comes up with crazy cons and schemes in his attempts to escape from prison and reunite with the love of his life. The movie teaser gives you just enough of their endearingly crazy love story.
