One Tree Hill follows the lives of two young high school kids – Lucas and Nathan who love basketball but also have one more thing in common – their father. Nathan grew up in a state of well-being, with a devoted father who used to be the best basketball player in the school and pushes his son to train and practice, often going too far. His alcoholic mother Deb, only spoilt the child and we can now see him as the most popular, adored high-school star. When a turn of events makes his coach look for new players, Nathan gets a new teammate – his own half brother Lucas.

Lucas is a reclusive, yet very talented young man who has grown up with his single mother and his father’s older, but poorer brother. He only played basketball on public courts but now he has to play with his own brother and compete not only for the leadership in the team, but also for the heart of one of their girlfriends at school. This relationship becomes stronger as the two brothers become friends and get to know each other, learning how they may have much more in common than they ever imagined.
