The Cove is a touching documentary based on the work of Richard O’Barry, who was the world’s leading expert and authority on dolphin training and who worked on the set of the Flipper television program. This documentary follows OBarry, along with director Louie Psihoyos and a group of elite activists, filmmakers and free divers, who are on a mission to uncover deep and dark secrets about what is being done to dolphins around the world.
The team manages to penetrate a cove in Japan, where they uncover unimaginable dark and deadly secrets and put these secrets on display for the whole world to see. They later find out that the mysteries they have seen and revealed are only a small portion of the story and only a tiny bit of the secrets surrounding the way dolphins are treated around the world. The documentary is both heart-breaking, enlightening and empowering and a film that needs to be seen by the entire world.
