It’s perfect life for James Reece (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), working in the U.S. Embassy in Paris and having fun with his French girlfriend. However, soon enough we find out that he is in fact a low-lever agent for the CIA who is about to become a full member of that club if he help out on a case with the senior special agent Charlie Wax (John Travolta). As it turns out, Wax is not exactly how James has imagined him; he quick on the gun, unpredictable and a wise crack.

James can’t help but wish for his desk job, but as he gets more and more involved in the chase of the Parisian underworld he realizes that there’s no turning back and he had better stick with Wax.
