The movie teaser of this soon to be released thriller manages to perfectly capture the suspense of the film. Based on a novel by Swedish writer Stieg Larsson, the film revolves around a mystery of a girl that disappeared 40 years ago under very suspicious circumstances. However, no real conclusions as to what happened to her have been reached to this day. There were no witnesses and no corpse to say that she died, but she was never found. At the time of her disappearance Harriet Vagner (Ewa Froling) was on a remote island on an estate owned by her own family, the rich and powerful Vagners. Fast forwarding forty years, Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) an investigative journalist is assigned to find out what really happened on that fateful day. It seems like an impossible mission, so many years later, but none the less he embraces it at the request of Harriet’s great uncle, Henrik Vagner (Sven-Bertil Taube) who is convinced that Harriet was murdered by someone inside their family. Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, a profound hacker, and someone who ultimately helps Blomkvist discover what dark secrets lie within the Vaner dynasty.
