The Hurt Locker is a very dark and heavy portrayal of an elite group of soldiers that have the very dangerous job of trying to disarm bombs in the middle of heated combat and bloody battles. The plot gets intense when a new sergeant, James, takes control of the group of highly-trained soldiers. He surprises two of his most skilled soldiers by throwing them into a deadly game of combat within the city unexpectedly. James is a strange character with a very morbid sensibility that seems completely unafraid of war, conflicts or death.

The tensions arises in the efforts of the troops to control their reckless leader in the midst of a huge battle that is erupting throughout the city. The group’s courage and skills will be tested as they try to overcome and get to the bottom of the strange behavior or their crazy and fearless leader whose true character will be revealed in conflict.
