The O.C. is an American made drama which features the lives and troubles of fictional characters in their teenage years and also their families as they try to understand and help the teenagers. The series takes place in Newport Beach in Orange County, California and describes the lives of several teenagers as they go struggle with turbulent events that their approaching adulthood brings to them. The main character is Ryan Atwood who is a teenager adopted by a wealthy foster couple Sandy and Kirsten Cohen.

They have a son, Ryan’s surrogate brother Seth, who is a strange and unpopular teenager about the same age as Ryan. They find the outside world difficult to deal with, and feel isolated from the wealthy, high class world of Orange County. The show portrays the troubled relationships between them and two other characters Summer Roberts and Marissa Cooper, as well as their families ex boyfriends and husbands and all those relationships are full of tension and drama that builds amazing story arcs that involve supporting characters from their school, home and even past.
