As the movie trailer gets us prepared for some serious drama, it isn’t even the half of what we can expect to see in the full movie. As four couples meet for their annual retreat in the beautiful Bahamas, it seems this will be the week they forget about their usual lives and go about having a good time and recharging their batteries. As they exchange news about their relationships and discuss events that have happened to them, they are unaware that their perfect week will soon turn very ugly. As an unexpected guest, Sheila’s (Jill Scott) former husband Mike (Richard T. Jones) arrives the air is already starting to feel a little tense. He is determined to win her back even though she has remarried, and is now with Troy (Lamman Rucker). The other couples, Angela and Marcus (Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White), Dianne and Terry (Sharon Leal and Tyler Perry) and Patricia and Gavin (Janet Jackson and Malik Yoba) struggle with their own marital issues and as the story evolves, we discover that not everything is as is seems. As the movie teaser tells us, instead of having the perfect getaway these couples will fight to keep their marriages alive. And one couple just won’t make it.
